About Prologues

Prologues is an event that highlights the backstory for impact happening in Northwest Arkansas. Each prologue is designed to introduce others to the good work happening around the region through the personal lens of the humans catalyzing positive change. Through the live-event storysharing salon, the hope is to deepen networks around community-building efforts.

How it Works

Attend with open eyes, open ears, a welcoming heart, and an authentic voice. In return, you’ll be regaled with personal stories from members of the community and an open invitation to engage with your neighbors.

Each character shares a story by showing 15 images with minimal text, narrating for 25 seconds apiece as the visuals auto-advance.

After the Prologues, there will be time for open and facilitated discussion. Fun!

Storysharing Syncs Our Hearts And Brains

Prologues is a humble effort to use storysharing as an effort to learn more about and from our fellow community members, to strengthen community networks, and to give visibility to all the good happening around us while supporting the people who make it all happen.

Often we see impact within our community, but we don't ever get visibility into the context about how that impact came to be. Additionally, as community-builders, rarely do we have the opportunity to reflect on the sometimes very small coincidences or nuances that have led us to becoming part of a much larger vision or our everyday purpose-driven work.

The simple act of storysharing can become a powerful platform for connecting people to one another and to our broader community.
